A little history ...

KITAO cattery started out as Moon Shadow cattery in the early 1970’s. In December 1972, my younger brother gave me a shoebox containing a photo of a Bluepoint Himalayan kitten for Christmas. My parents wouldn’t allow the real kitten in the house because they wanted to travel and didn’t want any more pets.
I loved the Cat Steven’s song, Moon Shdow and so the first cattery name that I registered was Moonshadow and the kitten was named Poppin Moonshadow, A few years later when I registered with CFA, I shortened my cattery name to Kitao (Kit-ay-oh). Since then a variety of breeds have carried the Kitao prefix - Himalayans, Persians, Abyssinians, a Turkish Angora, an American Shorthair, and since the early 1990’s, Havana Browns.
I rarely breed or show any more. However, I have and plan to show my little guys (pictured above) out of GC, BW, RW Soesthill Charlie Pride and CH Kitao’s Jubilatte. I am still an active member of Golden Triangle Cat Fanciers, a CFA club that I helped found in the mid-1970’s.
Sorry, I have nothing available and no immediate plans to breed.
